13.1 Release Notes#

  • Version 13.1 introduces compute node auto remediation functionality. Health checks are run automatically on configured compute nodes to detect and autonomously resolve common cluster issues, such as disk usage or system errors, reducing the need for human intervention.

  • A new container registry service is available on all head nodes for integration with Kubernetes. The registry is pre-populated with a ClusterWare node container that is used to collect information about Kubernetes workers.

  • Added limited support for Rocky 10 on compute nodes.

See Changelog for a full history of ClusterWare releases, and Known Issues And Workarounds for a summary of notable known current issues.

Deprecated Features#

The following features were deprecated with the ICE ClusterWare ™ Release v13.1.0. In the case of commands or command arguments, the legacy values will continue to work for now, but will be removed fully in a future release. Scripts or other automation should be updated accordingly.

  • The user token duration argument name changed from timeout or lifetime to lifespan.

  • ClusterWare commands now use the cw-* prefix rather than the scyld-* prefix.

  • The rwtab value is removed from the _boot_rw_layer reserved attribute.
