Update and Upgrade

Updates and add-ons to the ICE ClusterWare ™ platform are released regularly. Customers on active support plans can access these updates on the Penguin Computing website: https://www.penguinsolutions.com/en-us/support.

ClusterWare release versions follow the traditional three dot-separated numbers format: <major>.<minor>.<patch>. Updating to a newer major release should be done with care. For example, Update ClusterWare 11 to Later Major Versions requires specific additional steps.

Penguin Computing tests upgrading to the current version from the previous 2 releases. For example, for ClusterWare version 12.4.2, upgrade from 12.2 and 12.3 was tested. Updating from earlier versions should work, but you should test on a development environment before updating a production cluster. Alternatively, contact Penguin Computing to discuss options for additional upgrade path testing.
